We offer a wide array of energy-saving solutions to help multi-family property owners reduce operating cost, improve comfort, and add value to their communities. From easy, in-unit updates to improvements in common spaces, we’ll help you find additional ways to save.

If you own or manage a residential multi-family property with 10 or more units, you may qualify. Getting started is easy with a no-cost assessment.

  • Installation of selected measures
  • Post-installation follow-up to ensure performance and satisfaction
  • Additional incentives that can help to cover the cost of property improvements for commercially metered customers

Free Upgrades

Your property may qualify for a variety of no-cost energy-efficient products and services. Professionally installed in-unit upgrades and common area improvements can be made at no cost to you. Products can also be shipped to your property to be installed at your convenience.

Commonly recommended energy upgrades include:

  • Weather stripping
  • Door sweeps
  • High-efficiency showerheads
  • High-efficiency faucet aerators
  • Smart or Programmable Thermostats
  • ENERGY STAR® certified LEDs

FAQs

The Indiana Michigan Power multi-family program services are available to residential complexes with 10 or more dwelling units. This includes apartment facilities and manufactured home associations.

The Indiana Michigan Power program offers no-cost services that include:

  • A no-cost energy assessment to identify opportunities for improved energy usage with installation of energy-efficient technologies
  • Installation of selected measures
  • Post-installation follow-up to ensure performance and satisfaction
  • Additional incentives that can help to cover the cost of property improvements for commercially metered customers

If you are an authorized representative (i.e., property manager or landlord/owner of the entire facility), you can schedule a no-cost energy assessment by contacting your Indiana Michigan Power program consultant at 317-829-0714.

Property management is provided with information on the findings from the energy assessment. Property management may choose whether or not to enroll all units and/or to implement any of the measures recommended, but there is no obligation to do so.

There is no fee to your property for the energy assessment and qualified installation of energy-efficient products.

No, we will only require access to one (1) unit on each unique site, as well as access to common areas.

For customers on commercial rates, rebates and incentives may be available to help cover the costs of qualifying property, new construction, or capital improvement projects.

Custom incentives are available for new construction projects and those not covered by the Prescriptive Rebates. Apply for a Custom incentive at ElectricIdeas.com/Custom.
